ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR DALI IMAGES
This intensely complex design is reminiscent of watercolors Master Dali executed for “Purgatory” of Dante’s Divine Comedy and the famous 1960 watercolor Saint Anne and Saint John. The central figure here is at once reforming and disintegrating while looking toward the heavens. Everyone sees something different while staring at this image.. bones, crosses, swords and souls. This gallery favorite is both haunting and intriguing.
This lithograph bears Salvador Dali’s original signature in pencil and is signed and verified as authentic on the reverse by Dali Archivist Albert Field.
